Tried out Instinct (grateful for all the invites). My feedback/hot take: Instinct, like the many other prosumer/consumer personal AI assistants, seems to be another example of Silicon Valley solving Silicon Valley problems. The reality is that for the vast majority of American and global consumers, there is no magic in a product like this. The average consumer is not dealing with the complexity of booking expensive dinners for many people, coordinating complex international travel logistics, etc. Put another way, this is helpful for people who have a lot of money and little time. For most people, this is flipped. Open to having my mind changed, but I'm net very bearish on this market.

been using instinct for the past few months... 10/10 extremely iconic it was handling my surgery paperwork and flagged on its own that the surgeon has an active malpractice suit!!

Instinct, 12 hours in (English + Spanish, issues in 2 countries): - Figure out requirements, prep and submit health insurance forms for out of network - Find in-network healthcare providers, whatsapp them for appointments - Deal with a long list of books, figure out if library hold, interlibrary transfer, or buy, do as needed based on specific criteria - Dig through various school app feeds looking for important dates, integrate into my GCal - Help with a complicated travel insurance issue involving VRBO, multiple credit cards, and a huge # of potential providers - Figure out item I just got a UPS alert for (lol but yes) - Unsubscribe from random BS - Decipher + deal with a Zoom 10DLC regulatory SMS blah blah - Send emails on my behalf - Figure out why Naked + Afraid: Shipwrecked (fml) is not showing up on my HBO ... wheeeeeee

Ladies & Gentlemen, I fear they might be right. Instinct is the iMessage assistant you’ve been waiting for. I imagine this is what OpenClaw felt like.
